  1. I'm 17 and I still cry and fuss when I'm tired, but I won't fall asleep unless my girlfriend is rocking me to sleep in her arms.

LMAO. Sorry I thought this was funny. xD

  2. my son still does it and he's 6 months...i'm in the same boat as u are!

  3. At least your baby will let you do that. My son hates to be rocked or cuddled at all. If he's being held he wants to  be straight up. He never falls asleep on me or while I'm holding him. He won't lie in bed with me. He fights naps as well and he's 9 months old now. I just give him a bottle, lay him down and if he doesn't fall asleep with the bottle he just has to cry it out, which can take upwards of 30 minutes. I hate doing it but he has to sleep.

  4. Have you tried laying him in his crib and then staying next to it (patting him on the belly or something) until he falls asleep? Maybe he just needs to know you're there. I know that the Ferber method isn't suppose to be used until around 6months old, so I wouldn't let him cry it out yet.

  5. sorry to say it might not end for a while.

you cannot spoil such a young baby with holding him and he is too young to learn a sleep method, sorry to tell you.

my 10 month old still does it, ONLY when he is overtired.  we have tried a lot of things, but I am not the type to let him just scream for 15 minutes like my ex nanny did.  I just cant do it.

he sleeps with a ba-ba of water, and is a sucky baby.  but I am fine with that.

I say pat him and love him.  you will miss these days, don't blink momma.

  6. a swing or roll back and forth in the walker...i know there are alot of people on here that are against the cry it out method but sometimes if you just let them lay there and whimper for just a few mins they end up falling right to sleep. i say this only if they are fussing, not full on screaming...then they need to be comforted.

  7. Babies like to be rocked and patted.  My son is 10 months and I still rock him and give him a pacifier when I put him to sleep.  It only takes a couple minutes.  If I put him down to sleep on his own it takes him more than 10 minutes of moving around, fussing and crying.  So I would rather put him to sleep in my arms.

  8. Though Love you have to put him in the bed and let him cry it out it's hard so maybe one nite let him cry for 5 and so on and so on but he's the right age so you better stop it now you know he not hurting so you have to let him cry close the door it better now then when he's 1 or 2 and get get out of bed.

  9. Hi,

I think the most important thing to start with is to get your baby into a good sleep routine.  I had massive problems with getting my 4 month old son to sleep.  He would just lie awake and cry for hours, then when he finally went to sleep he would wake every hour or two hours through the night and cry again!  Talk about pulling our hair out .... we were absolutely desperate for sleep!

It was a baby sleep audio program recommended by a friend that finally saved us. We followed the advice and began by creating a baby sleep routine which included bathtime, dimming of the lights, putting James into his crib, final nappy change and then lullabies. We also made recommended changes to his naps during the day and used some of the other recommended techniques. Within two weeks he was sleeping through the night most nights with just the odd night where he would just wake once!

Definitely start by creating a good baby sleep routine though and you could find that solves most of your baby sleep problems.

    Good luck!

  10. Well what i use to do was give my daughter a warm bath with the soothing vapor bath for babies. It has relaxing agents in it.Smells good. They have it at Walmart.I'd give her a warm bottle.Burp her.@ choices.Id put her in her rocker.Swing.Or i'd lay her down with her baby jukebox. It worked for me!She was spoiled and i feel you i wasnt gooing to rock and hold her all the time.

  11. i lay her in the crip a bit awake and she will fall asleep teach the baby to sleep by laying her and let her cry it out until she is use to it i taught her this by 2 months
