My son keeps having he's constant nightmares the he's going to get held back put he just finished summer schoo

if he took summer school will he pass grade p.s. his going into 8th grade and we live in the bakersfield area

  1. If your son successfully completed all of his assigned summer school course work, he has nothing to fear.

    However, if he goofed off and lied to you about how well he was doing, his fears may be justified.

    Call the school district and arrange a face to face with a counselor and talk realistically about your son's academic progress or lack thereof.

The best information I've ever read on interpreting dreams is to look not at the content of the dream but the emotions the dreamer has during it.  Ask him how he feels about being held back.  Is he frightened?  Embarrassed?  Alienated?  Or maybe, in the dream, it's no big deal.  Dreams are how the subconscious expresses feelings.

    He's in a really challenging period of life.  Most of us at his age feel inferior or unacceptable in some very fundamental ways.  My guess is the dream is about his anxieties about fitting in or being loved and accepted by family and peers more than it is about school.
