  1. Sounds normal to me.  Some babies p**p at every feeding at this age (more common with breastfed babies), others p**p only once or twice a day.

I see nothing out of the ordinary here.

  2. I think that is normal as long as he has 1 bm a day.  Is he taking enough formula? If he is, ask your pediatrician if you can add a little more water to his formula or change to a formula that is easy to digest like soy, hypoallergenic formula.

  3. Ok. well i JUST came home from the Dr. concerned about this very thing...

my son is 3 weeks old... is on soy because the regular made him too fussy and p**p too much.

we switched him and all the sudden he is pooping like once, MAYBE twice.

I was freaking cuz the paper they gave me from the birthing center said he was supposed to p**p 3 times a day.

the dr. said as long as they are gaining weight correctly and peeing the correct amount it is nothing to worry about.

They also said if the baby goes 6 / 7 days without pooping THEN contact a dr. but some babies just dont p**p as much as some.

try not to worry. as long as he's hungry, and peeing, you should be good.

    good luck.

  4. there is nothing wrong with that it is actually good  my son only has one every other day and in had him checked and nothings wrong

  5. It sounds to me like everything is working as it should!  :)

  6. this is so normal.  newborns can go up to a week without a bowel movement and it is considered normal

  7. How many times a day do you expect him to p**p?

Your pediatrician is the one to ask if this is normal for a little guy born that much too early. Call him during business hours and leave a message for him to phone when he has a minute.

  8. My son went 3 days without pooping, took him to the emergency room (being a first time parent) and the Dr. said it was absolutely fine! They told me to give him 1/4 of a pediatric size glycerin suppository. That did the trick. Good luck!
