My son should start preschool in Sept. But I am curious. See, he is really smart. He turned three in April. He knows his ABC's and can count to almost 30. He can recognize letters and number when they are written. He spell his names. Has a few books memorized and can read a few words he sees regurly. He can draw the circle and square and straight line and stuff like that. He can sing every kids song ever word for word. He knows alot but see I don't know what else to teach him, I don't know where he need to go next. Will the preschool teach him new things or are the things he already knows standard?

  1. your son sounds really intelligent. My daughter is 4 and i have started teaching her spanish i got her a starter kit from toys r us. It has cartoons which learn her the language she is picking it up really well. they are also availabe in chinese french and german.

  2. Yes i agree that Yours son performance is very good.

In my point of view he will continue his study in preschool itself , because he is small boy .Each and every one must be not greater than him capacity and age.

  3. all of what you have said is very good, remember he is still a child and needs to do more than just "school work". continue to do what you have been doing and he will continue to progress. you do not say anywhere where he is interacting with other children in either small or large groups and that is a very important step for all children, if they interact well with adults that is very typical and and even interacting with family members under the age of 10-12 is very good. But he will have to regularly have to be able to interact with any where from 8-15 children on a regular basis during the school day, so b3 sure he gets to try some of that too. Art and outside physical activity is also important to growing and educating a young child so keep working on that also.

and of course the best thing you can do is love him and teach him to love reading and learning in gereral so be sure you do not over stress him

  4. his really intelligent.why not you teach him the timetable and division

  5. perhaps a little more reading practice will do him good. my daughter started reading at age 3. so by the time she went to school she practically knows everything in nursery. but school boosts up her self confidence even more and develops her social skills.

  6. Your boy seems to be quite a guy...It really does teach children more than you think...Preschool is more for life than for education...Or at least that's how I remember it...It taches your boy a lot of cool new stuf like crafting and other fun things.Your son is very intelligent but I suggest you send him to preschool...just in case;)

  7. A good preschool teaches on a variety of topics mainly the ones that you mention but the main reason why you would want you child in one is the social interaction with other children.

  8. I was a preschool teacher for 2 years and in my church program we had an advanced class for intelligent children like your son where he would still be around kids his age just in an advanced division
