and now it looks like his ankles are bent inwards. He is 15 months, would be out grow this or do I need to take him to a specialist? His pediatrician says I should wait until he turns 2 to see if he self corrects. I really don't think he'll do that because it seems to be getting worse and not better. What kind of doctor do I need to take him to?

  1. I used to be an occupational therapy assistant that worked with kids, and though walking wasn't something I worked on, I worked with physical therapists who did. More than likely, it's a sign of muscle weakness in his feet/ankles/and or legs. It doesn't hurt to get an evaluation done by a pediatric physical therapist. It can be corrected or at least strengthened. If he's already walking, i wouldn't wait 'til he's 2.

  2. Take him to the doctors to see if there is a reason he is walking like that.
