  1. Law practice is limited to the passing of the bar exam of those individual states within the United States. I am aware of a French woman obtaining her specialty as an international law specialist.

As the old Victorian Brits used to say, "if you can't afford Oxford, travel."

Wish your son good luck. He will need to apply at the individual colleges before getting his student visa.

  2. yes he can work later on.wow what good choices for careers!!

  3. His potential employer will need to get him an H1-B visa.

  4. Education in the USA is getting terrible

    Better send him to China

  5. If he takes a law degree in the UK, he can then sit the bar exam in NY and be a qualified lawyer in the US.  This is because the US took its common law legal system from the UK.  It would be different if he was studying law in, for example, France.  I have known people with English law degrees come over to NY for the summer and study for the bar and pass it.

You should check the requirements with the NY Bar Association.

As to working in the US, a good way is to get a job with one of the large international law firms in the UK and get a transfer.

  6. Why not let him go?... If you have financial problems just talk to your son about it and tell him sorry..... or if he's a bright child ask someone to scholar his studies... i know your son will understand if you can't stand a minute without seeing him... parental LOOOOOOVE!!! so sweet....
