My son was diagnosed with down syndrome at 3 1/2 yrs old. Has anyone else had a late diagnosis?

I've never heard of this. They usually are able to tell a bit early. Does your son have some of the similar characteristics of a down syndrome child? They are positive they haven't made a mistake?

He wasnt speaking and was referred to a pediatrician, he didnt have strong characteristics, and it was diagnosed by a blood test.  Nicky S
