My son will be serving 3 years in prison and his ex girlfriend plans on filing abandonment papers against him.

Question

Can she do that even though he has had contact with his daughter up to a couple days before arrested? We live in California and we are not able to afford a lawyer regarding this. We just want to know are rights.

im no lawyer but as a child i was in court with my parents a lot....battleing over me..all you can do is go to court see if they can appoint you an attorney and try to fight it...if you love that little girl you will do everything in your power to fight for her and ur son while he`s away
