My sons circumcision at 3 months old

I posted a question earlier about my sons eating habits. He wasnt circumcised when he was born because he was premie and it was too small at the time. well while he was in the hospital yesterday he got circulcised. I am doing a very good job at cleaning it and doing what I was told but he has a HIGE blood clot on the side. The dr. said its normal but he also said a few off the wall things that made me think he was a little crazy.....not till after the baby was circumcised or i wouldnt have let him do it. he seemed normal to me all the times i met him we were in there for 10 days so i am not questioning if he was a good dr. from what i heard he is. but i was curious if any other moms who have had their sons circumcised had that problem it doesnt look right. They said its where the clamp closed.....just curious.

That doesn't sound right to me. I would call another Dr and see what they say. My son never had any blood clots.

I would keep an eye on it and if it doesn't go away soon than take him back to see the doctor.  He is probably fine just bruised.

My son, who is now 7, was circumcised in the hospital. It never looked right, it bled a lot, and then the skin grew back onto the p***s. At my six week checkup, my OB, who performed the circumcision, told me to pull the skin back away from the wound until it began to bleed a little bit each time I gave him a bath. He did it in the exam room to show me and I couldn't stop crying. I couldn't do that to my baby every day! So now, he is seven and has an extremely small p***s and might need surgery when he is older because the skin is actually still covering the p***s and it looks like he is halfway circumcised. My other son, needless to say, is INTACT, and I am due in 3 weeks with another boy who will also not be circumcised. My 7 year old has a smaller p***s than my baby who just turned one and I believe it is from complications from his circumcision. It just doesn't look right. Of course the doctors always told me it was normal, probably until it was too late to sue them. I would say PLEASE get a second opinion while he is still healing, because they might be able to do something now that they won't be able to do when he's older. Congrats on your new baby!

I have 2 sons, and neither had a blood clot. It actually would scare me too. I would get a second opinion. He might just be covering something up. Trust your instincts. If a doctor makes you uncomfortable for any reason, go to another.

circumcision has lots of complications that are never recorded as it happens, you should google "botched circumcisions" keep in mind the majority of them are never recorded as such

Ive had three boys circumsized and never had a big blood clot. I would get him to your pediatrician and have it checked.
