  1. Probably not. It has a slim chance, but only if you let it completely dry out (like for a week) before turning it on. I washed a cell phone and after two weeks of drying it did work again, but many of the features wouldn't work for another month.

  2. Ugh. My coworker dropped mine in a toilet on accident a while ago, after it dried out it would power down on its own all the time.

  3. Probably not, and that wouldn't be covered by the warranty.  The warranty doesn't cover any accidental damage.  Learned that one the hard way, new puppy got a hold of an iPod nano.

The sort of good news is that Apple will give you a discount on a replacement or sell you a refurbished unit of the same model for less if you take the "bad" one into an Apple store/genius bar.

  4. i doubt it

  5. Most likely yes, I dropped mine in a cup of water before and it still worked after i let it dry out. Also, if it doesn't work you can go to Best Buy and they have the Geek Squad there and they might be able to fix it.

  6. Maybe, whatever you do though, DO NOT DRY IT OUT ON A RADIATIOR.  So many of my friends make that mistake with phones.

If I were you, I'd take it back to the Apple shop if it's still got warranty on it.

  7. that must b sucky. well dry it out and see but wait an hour or two.

    answer my question too plzzzz.

  8. i dont know if it works the same for an ipod, we dropped a phone in beer one time, let it dry for a bit and put it in the freezer, and it worked again, so i you might try that.

  9. No your ipod's circuitry is most likely damaged.

  10. Don't let it just sit out on a counter or something and dry. I'm not sure it this will work for an iPod, but if you get a bowl of dry rice and completely bury it in there, the rice soaks up the water, and it should work. Like I said, I'm not sure if it'll help your iPod, but it saved my cell phone.

  11. haha this happened to me.

blow dry it and it will be fine:)

just dont try turning it on until it is completely dry!

  12. Where did you purchase it? If you purchased it at Bestbuy you might of been offered a pretection for 20 bucks for 2 years. You might try bringing it to a local repair service. Wish you luck.

  13. it should, its pretty water proof

  14. haha, sorry to hear that. Umm, probably not, but there is a slight chance.  Technology can be more resilient than we believe. I have gotten my Ipod nearly drenched when i dropped it in a puddle. It still worked without even giving it time to dry.

this also reminds me of when my house was flooded about six years ago. My xbox was immersed in four feet of water. I set it outside to dry out for several days and then set it in the corner of my room and soon forgot all about it. Several weeks later my friends convinced me to plug the ****** in and try it out. Expecting to get electrocuted i was surprised when it worked.

  15. most likely not.  try taking it to an apple store and asking there before buying another or claiming the warranty

  16. It's possible. just don't turn it on until it is completely dry.

  17. dont count on it because it was in water so long, but dry it out for 48 hours and try to turn it on.

  18. Possibly, but not probably.  I've seen many phones still work after being dropped in the pool.

FOR NOW DO NOT TURN IT ON!  If there's a short circuit because of the water you could fry something!  Yikes-a-bee!
