Basically he left the lid off the felt tips and has taken off his jeans and thrown them on the ground onto the felt tip. It's left a HUGE pink stain in them. Tried washing them but it seems to have spread the stain. Any ideas?

  1. You might want to try some hair spray.  It may work if you didn't put the jeans in the dryer.  I hope this helps!

  2. Well take the jeans up to the sink wet the stained area and drop a bit of Murphy's Soap onto them, rub aggressively and then wash the jeans in the usual way.

I use Murphy's soap on my paint brushes and my smock when I paint and it removes the paint and inks stains.

  3. I was going to recommend rubbing alcohol.

While I was looking at another site for natural cleaners, I found this recipe:

    Ink Remover:

    1 T white vinegar

    1 tsp lemon juice

    1 T milk

    1 tsp Borax

Mix ingredients in a small container. Place the fabric with the ink stain between several thicknesses of paper towels. Cover the spot with the Ink Remover. Wait a few minutes, then sponge area with cool water. Repeat until stain is gone.

Usually you want to try anything new in an inconspicuous place on the garment, but in this case you don't have much to lose, as is the pants are already ruined. Good luck!

Also, you might try Dylon Color-Safe Color dye remover if you can find it. Don't use Rit.

  4. If you dried them , then the stain is probably set in. You could  try some rubbing alcohol...

  5. u could try bleaching them depending what colour they are of even buy that die stuff that works on clothes and re dye them so u wont be able to see the felt tip mark..???

  6. Try rubbing with baby wipes. I got permanent maker out of a shirt using them. I had dried the shirt but it still came out. May take a few wipes and some elbow grease.

  7. With difficulty, I'm afraid.  As you have discovered, the stain needs to be chemicaly "fixed" before removal or it will simply spread.  Any decent dry cleaners should be able to do that for you.

  8. Stain devils make a felt tip pen remover but it is intended for use before laundry- might be worth a try though. Good Luck

  9. Easy. Just take a sharp pair of scissors and cut around the stain very carefully

  10. Spray & Wash with Resolve or Zout both work good remove stains.

If the stain is on white clothing item use some bleach on spot.
