My sony ericsson k550i shows only a bright white screen when turned on. Why? Can i fix this myself?

I've tried sending it away to be repaired but they failed :(; anyone know how to fix? - p.s i will dismantle and experiment if neccessary :)

No you can't fix it yourself. you've damaged the screen either by bumping it into something or it just happened.

two of my ericsons have done that. the w550i (the swivel) and the k550i (same as yours).

you have to send it to the repair people. i sent my w550i to them they charged me about 1/3rd the price of the phone to fix it and then after 6 months it died again. theres no point fixing it. i didn't send my k550i. just get a new one its better than spending so much only to have it die again.

its good that they can't fix it. it won't last long. get a new one.

it may not be a LCD problem. sometimes your software has gone.

well there r two ways  one = change LCD , cos original  is dead

second = there must a problem in mother board.

both of these option cant done by guys like me n u  so u should give dis to a professional mobile repairer
