His fam is probably a pain like mine was. You want to keep them in the dark as long as possible.We got married and moved out of town as fast as possible.

He is just stringing you along.  He isn't ready to get married but he doesn't want to lose you.  He shouldn't be marrying you if he isn't ready.  He shouldn't be telling you one thing and his family another.  You need to talk to him about this and call of the wedding if he isn't ready because you don't want to wind up divorced down the road.  He should be honest with you.
