My sound icon has dissappeared off my taskbar how do i get it back?

1. Right click your taskbar, choose "Properties".

2. Under the "Notification Area" form, click the "Customize" button.

3. Then Search for the "Volume Control" icon, and under the drop down menu, choose "Awlays show".

Alternate method ----v

Go to START -> All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Volume Control.

Alternate Method 3 ----v

1. Control panel >  sound and audio devices > Sound and Audio

2. Navigate to the "Volume" Tab

3. Make sure the "Place volume icon on taskbar" checkbox is checked.
