My sound is all high-picthed?

Question

Okay well I just got a new computer and the sounds been fine. So today I go to youtube to listen to some songs and my sound wasnt working. So I troubleshoot and end up fixing it by making my speakers the default sound device for my computer. So I go listen to my song and its all high-pitched. i thought this was just how the song went but its not. So I go to another song and its all high-pitched too. So now im like wtf..and i troubleshoot and it doesnt seem to have anything on it. I tried a couple of things off of google but nothing so far..so can someone help me get my speakers to stop making every thing sound like chipmunks or they just got high off of helium..?

make sure you haven't set your INTERNAL speaker as default ie.the one that beeps when you dialup on dialup
