Question:

My spacers are all weird??

I have four spacers in and one of them was causing me a lot of pain because it was in the wrong spot and was jammed up in my gum. Then the other one fell out because of the large space that they created. I am getting braces in a week. So I took it out purposefully, and I managed to get it back in-(well my mom did) And now it is back in, but there is so much space that it is not going in completely as it should. It's staying and I think it's keeping the space though. And the other one is fine. Should I just leave it until my braces or go get it in properly because it looks almost as it should???

  1. Call your dentist's office and ask them....they are the experts and you are PAYING them....YA can't help you.

  2. Hello, Ok let's just look at this logically...Your going to get braces to realign your teeth to a great looking alignment when they are all in place....You got Spacers to maintain specific distances so that the ultimate placement of braces could do their job correctly....So..if the spacers are not fitting correctly it's possible the maintained spaces will be different than planned and if the planned spaces aren't what they were intended to be it follows the braces will have to deal with alignment issues not originally planned for...So..it would seem to me that getting the spacers properly fitted would be the smart thing to do...You will be glad you did when a finished great smile looks back at you in the mirror one of theses day's...Good luck and I wish you well
