  1. I am going to be honest with you bro, my spacers hurt worse than any tattoo or piercing I've ever gotten. For me personally I can say they hurt the whole time I had them in. As a kid I was a wuss and wouldn't take asprin but my friends who experienced similar pain took some Tylenol said it helped.

I hope it gets better. Suck on ice. Drink lots of slurpies. Coldness helped me

  2. omggg i experiencedd that.. dont worry at alll! it will go away by saturday....threee days and that should be about it.. you should get tylonal for the pain. It helped me but it cant keep allll the soreness away. just trying to be honest. do not eat hard things...kiwi is good for fruit,. it is kinda self explanatory why to keep away from apples... chopped strawberrys are good..macaroni..and on your birthday eat watever...i wouldnt stress if I was you! it will go away.. have a great birthdayyy

  3. it shouldnt.....they may be a little sore, but nothing that would interfere in a major way.

  4. I just got my spacers put in like three days ago, and I'm fine. I was in excrutiating pain for the first three days, but now I'm fine. Just eat alot of ice cream and yogurt!! You'll be fine by Saturday. In fact, by Saturday, you won't even know they're there. To help the pain, get tylenol extra strength rapid release gels. And don't eat anything that you have to chew. Good luck, we're in this together!

  5. call your dentist and see if he can call in a prescription for vicodin or some other type of pain killer

  6. You will get used to them soon enough. Take some medication that you would use for a headache and swish with warm salt water. Enjoy your cake and ice cream!

    Hope that helps!

  7. Drink cold water....I'll warn you though....It's going to taste nasty...Or it did for me anyway.  Put ice packs or frozen veggies on your face but not directly on your face....use a towel or something between the pack and your face....10 minutes on and 10 minutes off.  Take ibuprofen.  Be sure and let someone close to you know that you are taking the ibuprofen and how much you are taking...If you need medical care, docs like to know what medicines you've taken lately.  Ice cream is good too.  Hold it in your mouth.  Don't chew ice....Ice can mess up your ortho work...even spacers.

It will get better...you still have time before Saturday.

  8. Wow, I went through the same problem. I had spacers 2 different times, the pain doesn't usually last that long but in case it does all you have to do is take a small painkiller such as ibprofen. You should be fine! Hope that helps :)

  9. Ooooh, I had that problem too. Fortunately the spacers are the worst part of it, unless you have surgery, like I did.

Take a pain reliever for the first two days. Especially after eating, when it will hurt the most. If you do not have a bleeding problem you can take Naproxen 250 mg three times a day. You can still take 500 mg of Tylenol, but be careful, it can harm your internal organs if you take too much of it. Both are sold over the counter at your local pharmacy and the generic brand is okay too.

You will be a lot better by your birthday, just eat soft foods all week!

    Happy birthday!!!!!

  10. Take some Tylenol!

    =D

  11. just take some ibprofine*. or just deal with it. not like you won't be able to get out of bed for your party
