2. Along with the usual grooming, fly spray, coat spray, hoof black, etc...take along an extra blouse/shirt...the first one is likely to get soiled. Also, take a piece of cardboard or carpet to put under your horse's feet to black them, that way, you don't have people rolling their eyes at you for leaving those tell tale black outlines of your horse's feet. Take plenty of water and leave the concession alone, leave the soda alone and just drink water. Take a couple of safety pins for your number in case the show committee forgot to bring some...take a couple of fold out chairs and plastic trash bags so that you can be a responsible exhibitor. Don't forget your stall pick and extra shavings, take some water from home just in case your horse won't drink what's there and if you are riding English, braiding comb and rubber bands, etc. Two lead ropes for cross ties will come in handy and a saddle stand so you can use it in your tack stall. Those steel hook things that hang on the stall edge come in handy to hold your headstalls and halters and oh yeah, a spray bottle and gel if you are going to be braiding. Plenty of clean towels and paper towels as well. Don't forget your crop or your gloves..Saddle your horse, then take it off, piece by piece and pack it, otherwise, you will probably forget something. Hoof pick...registration papers, Coggins, health papers, etc. I'm sure I've left something out. Take along a chain to chain up your trailer in case you want to drop it and go somewhere with your truck...that way it shouldn't get stolen, or at least it will take them longer. Oh yeah, we always forget our ear rings, (studs).

  3. Everything stated above is great!

If the stall doesn't come with shavings or any type of bedding you will need to pick some up for yourself.

  4. okay you'll need:

    brushes

    water

    helmet

    all your tack

    Your boots, Jacket, gloves, ect.

    horse treats

    hairnets, ponytails

    Fly spray

    hoof shine

    halter

    leadrope

if it rains you'll need a rain coat for you & the horse

    I think thats all

    good luck at your show!!!!!!
