My speakers are working?

Question

I got a new computer and i got Vista for it.

I hooked up my all the wires and it doesn't work.

(I placed the wires in the correct places, I also tried all of the

little round holes you can put the wires in.)

And I made sure that the sound settings were not on mute.

All of the sound things are all up. (speakers, window sounds,

and HD audio control panal)

The speakers worked on my other computer but not this one

P.S.

I know it is not broken because it is brand new.

And it doesn't seem its broken.

Vista is probably the problem.  Probably need a different sound card,
