Question:

My speakers won't work for my computer?

all i hear is shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh............. and stuff like that

idk whats wrong they aren't new

do i need new ones?

  1. Hi, a few questions here:

    Is this the first time you connected these speakers to your pc?

      If so, make sure you do have them pluged to your speaker out, and not the Aux out which may have an unmuted channel.

    If the speakers worked ok previously, it's possible you could have local interference or an Audio input open within your soundcard settings:

    open up your audio settings, and make sure all the inputs are muted and see if that makes a difference.

    If the hissing sound continues after checking your audio settings and making the adjustments, it could be possible that your power supply to your speakers is defective, but this normally produces a hum not a hiss or shhhh.

    The final solution would be to borrow or get some well working speakers and see if the same problem exists..

    OR try your speakers on someone else pc and see if the problem exist.  This will surely let you know the problem..
