Our project in English will be "parading" as Greek Gods and Goddesses. My role is Demeter and I should speak about her for 45 seconds to 1.5 minutes. What should I say? I mean, can you help me make an interesting speech for my English project?
Details:
She's the Goddess of Grain and Harvest
Eleunisian mysteries are celebrated in honor of Demeter, Persephone, and Dionysus
Her daughter, Persephone, was abducted by Hades, causing her great sadness. She neglected her duty and so the Earth's flowers wilted and harvest was not abundant. Zeus was dismayed so he asked Hades to give Persephone back to Demeter. Demeter was so overjoyed that she caused the spring flowers to bloom. However, Hades cunningly made Persephone eat promegate seeds which would require her to go back to the underworld for at least 4 months per year. Every time Persephone goes to the underworld, Demeter is stricken with grief, and spring (or is it winter?) is the season of the year.
her parents are Cronus and Rhea.
