My spider made a web on the corner of his tank and was inside it on its back??

  1. mine did that one time...not sure why she was doing it...it looked neat though and she was fine...she came out of it when she was ready to.  i wouldnt muck with her while she is like that.  it didnt result in her molting it was just a weird thing she did.

  4. Depending on your type of spider. Many species of Tarantulas lie on their backs when they molt. Molting is when they shed the outside layer of skin, hair and even the sexual organs. Growning arachnids do this several times. Often they will look dead laying on their back, but be carefull not to interupt the molt or cause stress to them, this will result in an incomplete molt and that causes health issues.
