What does it mean when my steering wheel wiggles when I put on the breaks? I don't notice it at slow speeds, only at fast speeds. It appears to be in allignment, and I don't feel the wiggling when I am driving normally. Thank you!

  1. ITS CALLED HOT SPOTS

YOU HAVE HIGH SPOTS IN THE ROTORS THE NEXT TIME YOU HAVE YOUR FRONT BRAKES RPLCD MAKE SURE YOU TELL THEM TO EITHER TURN THE ROTORS OR REPLC THEM

  2. You may have warped rotors. Take it to a brake shop and have them check it out. They won't charge for the inspection.

  3. Your rotors are warped from heating up.  The surfaces are uneven.  Take it to a brake shop.  Usually inspections are free.

  4. WARPED ROTORS/NEED TURNED

  5. Yes, the rotors are warped, caused by overheating, usually. You have options though. You can get them replaced, or have them shaved down, to make the surface even again. Call your local mechanic, or wherever you bring the car for maintenance, and tell him what happens; then ask what my options are. If he can't give you a price, then ask when you should bring the car in. AND ask if the estimates are free, although they should be. Good luck, hope this helped.
