  1. Sugargliders are loud. They chatter at night (they are nocternal animals)

Sugar gliders are an exotic wild animal and they require an exotic diet that can get complicated. If you are squeamish around mealworms, [[grubs]], [[crickets]] and other bugs, you should not own a sugar glider.

Sugar gliders are very scent-driven and can be smelly animals. Much like a ferret or skunk, they have glands on their bodies to emit scent and to mark, although they don't smell as strongly as skunks or ferrets. They also mark constantly with their urine as they are active inside and outside of the cage. After a few days, any cage situation will get messy and smelly and will need attention.

Sugar gliders are indeed very messy animals. When they wake, they will extricate their bowels as they move around. It is common for an animal to extricate while it is eating and when out for play and running on you. Poo and pee on your clothes, skin, hair, and furniture is to be expected with these animals. While in the cage, gliders spend a lot of time on the walls or high up and thusly they will pee, poo and even throw food and waste outside of the cage.

  2. here are the drawbacks of being a suger glider owner.

sugar gliders are cute friendly pets that can fall in love with their owner. but they are a hassle to care for. they can be very VERY loud. and they smell more then most small animals.

if you can attend to their high demands, the noise does not bother you and, can keep the smell tolerable. then you should consider buying one because of their playfulness. But they need more time out of thier cage then in their cage. and they are no where near cheap.

  3. o lord don't get him a sugar glider they sleep all day and are active at night trust me i have 1 they smell horrid and they bite! not to mention they need soo much attention they get depressed so so easy if not handled i don't think you shud please help me? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

  4. i would not let a child have a sugar glider as a pet. they are extremely expensive, require a lot of space, and theyre mean. people should expect their sugar glider to bite them every time they hold them. also they are nocturnal so they often dont wake up till 12 or 1 PM. they are difficult pets that are not tamed. i would get your a stepson an easier pet to take care of like a gerbil, a hamster, or a rat

  5. matters how responsible he is, these are very needy animals

  6. ola he asks for its suitcase which he te answers back everything that vc if he may want www.malakairesponde.blogspot.com

  7. Its cruel you shouldn't let him a keep one. Its wrong to keep something like that in a cage no matter how big it is. Its not fair on the Glider they aren't tame there not big hamsters or anything like that.

It would be like me keeping you in a cage not letting you have the company of your own kind just someone comming to see you for about a hour a day!

Its wrong, cruel and would be increadably selfish if you got one
