My stepdaugther is getting marry on a crusieship,but i don't have a passport or brithcertificate .?

am a permanent resident in the U.S..I was born in germany nor do i have a passport from germany too.(expired awhile ago).how can I get a temp.passport to take the cruise?already

paid for it.

you have to find the german embassy closest to you, so you can renew your passport. I think to get an American passport you have to be a citizen, so you would have to go to the German Embassy closest to you.

You need the German consulate. Use the website below to find which one has juristriction over where you live. You may just need your old passport but the time frame might not allow you to cruise. Also check with the cruise line. You may not be able to "disembark" at any foreign ports but you may still be able to go on the cruise (not as much fun but...). You also might want to check with the US state dept to be sure they will allow you to return with just a green card (they do from Canada last I checked but...) Good Luck!

If you don't have a passport or birth certificate, then you aren't going. Wish her well and tell her to show you some pictures when she gets home.

I believe since you're still a citizen of Germany, you'll need an updated passport from them.  Call your nearest German consulate or embassy in Washington, DC.  They should have the paperwork for you.
