The hotline and IRS.gov say it was mailed out May 30th. The hotline also says they cannot help me any further until June 27th, which is today. So I called the number, but I cannot get a live person to talk to. Any thoughts?

  1. Download Form 8822 Change of Address and complete the form and take it to the Local IRS office in your city, or mail the form to the appropriate address..  Or call I-800-829-1040 to change your address.

If you changed  your address with the post office, and they received your check they will put a yellow label with you new address and IRS will send you a letter "are you there" once you reply IRS will reissue the check to your new address.

  2. Send in a form 8822 with your new address.
