Question:

My stomach seems bigger after exercising ?

I've been exercising a lot lately, especially P.E. since I'm back in school, and I've noticed my stomach got bigger !

I have been drinking a lot of water, so is it just water retention ?

Also,

Earlier I went on a trip for about 3 days and I didn't do much exercises besides walking around, and my stomach was smaller and softer when I returned.

So now I've gotten back to exercise and I can feel the muscle underneath the fat but my stomach is bigger.

Any advice ?

Thanks.

  1. it is because your muscles are growing in your abs.

  2. i think its just all the water

  3. your bloated from working out. too many air bubbles in your stomach from the activity. it will go away after you finish your activity.

  4. Building muscle helps to burn off fat but make sure you do cardio as well.  Maybe this will address the issue of you feeling the muscle underneath the fat.   Also, when you build muscle you are making yourself more toned so that should help with the appearance.

The only thing I would say to look out for is to much sure you're not doing exercises wrong.   You don't want the muscles in your stomach to build out.
