My strings are too close to the fretboard and they are making a buzzing noise what do i do?

  1. First thing I would do is raise the bridge.


  2. If it is a cheap guitar, burn it

    if it has a truss rod, (a long Allen s***w positioned in a hole at the head of the guitar) and looking along the neck, if it curves away from the strings and stops buzzing as you play up the fret board avail yourself of the correct sized Allen  key and tighten.

  3. sounds like you to need to raise either you bridge or your nut so the strings will clear the fingerboard
