My stupid downstair neighbor is playing loud music?

Question

This is always happening and during the wrong times, like early in the morning or when I'm studying. Should I go down there and clunk that stupid #*$#(*)$(# in the head? Too me listening to music loudly as if you're in a d**n movie theater is unnecessary. Why do you want to pump up your music that loud just so people can hear your annoying music?Who else is peeved by people playing loud music?

I intensely dislike having to share someone else's music or TV dialog.  I especially do not like the cars with speakers that cause the music to make my windows vibrate.  And I also do not like being a party to your telephone conversation while sharing public space with you, i.e., the bus, a restaurant, in a department store...

If you live in a rental, there should be a statement in your lease about courtesy to neighbors.  Tell your landlord.

It doesn't pay to go to the neighbors.  In today's society, who knows what kind of repercussions that might cause.

My solution to the problem when I had it was to call the police and report it.  You could also file SEVERAL complaints with the apartment manager.  Under no circumstances should you jeopardize your freedom and well being over someone else's inconsideration and immaturity.  It's not worth it.

since i have no patience...I say skip straight ahead and call the cops...I mean they may not do much but at least you won't have to talk to the losers

you can  try asking your neighbor if they would turn it down some. if they don't call your land lord and talk to the police if you have a real roblem with your neighbor, being unreasonable or turning things up. most jurisdictions have regulations on excessive volume and disturbances to neighbors.. i agree, some ++++heads show no sense and ask for a real thumping

It happend  with  me also  when iwas  a student, and  when i use  to tell them  to slow down the music, they  use to  say, that i  am  showing too much for  nothing . But they never stoped doing that. I understand its  quite  hard  to concentrate  in studies  with so much noise, but afterall its  my lesson  which  use to get  affected.  So  i  use to stop studying  and  get into some other  work   with my music  system  on  to  a much  higher  volume  then theirs, and  would resume   my study again  when  they  stopped their  system   after  getting irritated  with  my music.
