Question:

My sub cuts out after about 20 minutes of pumping the sounds!!?!?!?

as discussed in my previous two questions, my pioneer sub cuts out, as in loses a great deal of power and starts to sound sh*t.

my earthquake amplifier powers the sub, and my front speakers.

the front speakers dont cut out or anything, so i presumed there was something wrong with the sub.

however, i tested this out by putting my friends subwoofer in the car, and it did the same thing!

so i presume its the amp? but then again, the front speakers are going fine...

so do you think it could be the wire going from the amp to the sub, or the RCA cables going front the head unit to the amplifier, or maybe the amp is putting out too much power to the sub and then overheating?? please help! it gets really annoying!

  1. what it could be is that your amp over heats and puts on protection,

or i could be trying to draw to much power and also puts on protection,

or your remote cable might be ruptured or it could just be your amp playing up. But earthquake should not stuff up.

try disconnecting the front speakers and connecting them to the head unit and seeing how the amp handles that.
