My subs are fine, i even hooked other subs up and it did the same thing?

if i hook them to 1 channel then the amp shuts off when it turn it up

  1. Its your amp.. The subs are requiring more power than the amp can provide and this will cause the amp to shut off... Either upgrade wiring or try a yellow top and a cap...


  2. bridge the speaker wires together and change the settings,,,or the speaks are too powerful for the amp, make sure the amp can breathe and has plenty of air, what size guage wire are U using and speaker wire also  check how the subs are wired,, ,

  3. If you are hooking 2 subs up to one channel on the amp you can ruin all the gear. You need to make sure the amp is able to be wired in mono. You need to check if its 1 or 2 ohm stable and figure out what the box is wired up for. If the amp is a good amp it will make alot of power this way if its done right.
