  1. It could be a loose wire....Ckeck and see if you see any.............It can also be Dust......you can get a can of clean air form you're local store.......It will be in the computer section.........It works great on your keyboard and computer motherboard too.......

  2. Either there's a bad connection to the input of the amplifier, or, there's an internal problem with the amplifier.  This could be the result of one or more poorly-formed solder joints in the circuitry inside it.

I've done many repairs of musical instrument amps that developed a version of this problem--a person would say the amp played fine for a while, then would stop working until they hit the side of it, then it would play again, then go out a few minutes later, they'd hit it again and it would play again....on and on.

All because of something in the amp that wasn't soldered adequately.  This is due to a facet of today's mass-manufacturing techniques, specifically, one called 'wave soldering'.  To quickly make the hundreds, or even thousands, of solder connections on each circuit board, in wave soldering, circuit boards, with all the components already fitted onto them, are dipped into large vats of molten solder for a certain length of time, as a means of making all those solder connections at once.

With those faulty MI amps I mentioned, the remedy was to disassemble the amp, and carefully re-solder by hand every solder connection to every component on each circuit board.  Needless to say, this could take two or three hours per amp, but this would solve the problem 99.44% of the time.

If your amp is under warranty, take it back to the place you bought it, to exchange it for another one.

    Good luck.  Cheers!

  3. Sorry to say, but it sounds like your speakers are blown.

  4. sound like a bad connection, not a blown subwoofer, make sure your ground chasis is clean, make sure all connections to the amp and battery are tight and clean, check all speaker connections on the amp and on the sub including inside the box. Check your rca cables connection from your head unit to your amp. If all is good and still have problems you could have bad wire or bad rca cables, so try using fresh wire and new rca cables. hope this helps
