My sun conure that i had for 3 weeeks now has been having red stool(p**p) latley, is he sick?

i want to take him to the vet but im only fourteen and my parents arent convinced theres anything wrong no matter what i say. anything else ive red has siad there somthing wrong and most forums i went to other people asking this qeustion and not doing anything ended with the death of there bird. please help maybe with other people agreeing theres somthing wrong i can convince my parents to go to the vet

he also barely ever closes his mouth all the way, does that have anything to do with it and if the stool isnt the problem could there be somthing wrong with her mouth

What have you been feeding it?  Anything red?  Anything dark?  That could cause red p**p.

Is it really hot where you live?  Birds will pant if they're hot or nervous- my linnie does it all the time.

the red stools indicate "Heart worns"  They are bad news for the pup if not treated the soonest it it fatal.  It is form of lave the infest the pup through the boold stream.  Honest take you pup to the Vet for intervention.

Don't play guessing games with animals.  It's animal cruelty to not attend to your pets.  When there is something abnormal you take them to the vet (bird doc) right away.  Don't skimp on the care of your pets.  Give it away to a good home if you can't care for it financially.
