I wanna report him to the hr,but i am afriad my Hr is gonna turn this around and somehow its gonna be my fault, and probably get fired. If i leave this alone,am gonna get fired and..probably sooner than i think..and if i quit, there's no way to gurantee am gonna get another job in the near future...

Wat should i do,..??Talk to the hr regardless, talk to the store manager or wat??I am in need of help and advice!!!

  1. Talking with HR is your own personal right. I had that experience not long ago. I only went in to ask a question and my supervisors really were upset. Try hunting another job. Sounds like ur working situations is terrible. You will have nothing to lose but when u quite you will have a lot to gain. As long as u work for them you will have to do what they say. This is just a growing thing in your life. Get another job but learn from this. Let me tell u, not all supervisors are like him. I've worked  for the best!! Good luck!!

  2. Your HR department should listen to you and not divulge where they received their information. The HR dept's job is to help employees and you are an employee. If you feel like you may be targeted, leave an anonymous letter under their door on your way out. Noone should be there since you work nights. If HR does nothing, turn to your shift manager's boss.

  3. first talk with the shift manager about your concerns, then the managers supervisor or HR if you don't feel you are being treated fairly.

there are no requirements (by law) that a warning be given verbally before a written reprimand or counseling, as far as that goes employers don't have to give any warnings. progressive discipline is not a requirement of law but it is a smart way to deal with employees and their performance issues. the shift manager is giving employees a chance to improve if this manager was a real "jacka**" they would just fire the employees in question.

you say this is happening for no "apparent reason" and you feel age discrimination is involved. if you believe discrimination is involved then you must report it for it to be corrected.

employers can not fix what they don't know is broken.

talk with the manager and then move up the chain of command, document everything you see and say and don't make accusations but just state FACTS .

  4. You could talk to HR, probably wouldn't hurt.  They would likely talk to him, and if he's being a jerk to a lot of people, he won't be able to figure out who reported him.

By the way, age discrimination is only illegal if it's toward people OVER age 40.
