My surround sound system or receiver is not working properly

i just set up my surround sound and it was working but it would just stop using the speakers connected to the receiver and the higher the volume the quicker it would stop using the speakers. the receiver doesn't turn off when that happens the volume in the surround speakers just stops or something. i have a Panasonic SA-HT80. i need help.

  1. First thing I'd check is to make sure that there are no stray strands of wire at the connections to the speakers. If one little strand from the positive touches one little strand from the negative it will create problems. Most receivers will automatically cut out if that happens. The higher the volume, the more power going through the lines and the quicker the cut-out.
