My switch broke, didnt see where 4 wires came out...

I have a harbor bay fan. My switch broke and I couldn't see where the 4 wires came out from the switch. The wires are black, blue, yellow, and gray. The new switch I bought is labeled L - 1 - 2 - 3. Which colored wire goes in which slot? Thanks.
