There are FRONT PANEL pins on Mother Board, those were disconnected while cleaning.. I removed all the pins of that panel and turned ON the system, it started well. But then I saw the chart and tried to connect them.. But next time when i turned ON the system, the FAN rotates for a second and turns OFF.

Please tell me, if those FRONT PANEL LED PINS are connected in a wrong way on the mother board.. Will it Damage the Motherboard?

  1. It sounds like you've connected something incorrectly. Try unplugging everything again and try again. Make sure all your + and - are correctly aligned. You probably have the switches in the right spots, but try flipping some around. No matter what you do here, you will not damage your motherboard.

  2. Don't worry too much about connecting LEDs the wrong way - as far as I know there will be no damage done. The LEDs just wont work until connected the right way :)

Grab your manual for the motherboard (or download it off the net if you have access) and check all your pin connections to see if they are correct. Also try holding delete after turning computer on (this will get you to BIOS settings). You might need to google this for more info.

  3. u need to see board manuals correctly also u need to check that is fan is touching the processor or not it shold be properly clinged to processor or its cover
