My tank has brown algea.. what can i do?

i have a red ear slider turtle, and we had the same water in for a couple weeks, then we changed the water, and only after about a week or so, theres this brown algea growing on the sides, and on his basking rock.. its covered. even some on him! i tried wiping it off, but it just comes right back! what can i do, and is it harmful?

  1. wash the tank out good with a clean sponge no soap then u should be good.


  2. wash in hot water with a scub brush

    the water for a turtle has to changed every weak or it stinks and is really yucky

    you should also have a filter in the tank too and that has to be scubed out once a week too

    maybe you should invest in an out side pond or let it go in a pond area outside they are stinky and lots of work
