My tape player wont play my cd adapter?

i just bought this tape that hooks up to my walkman and is suppose to play cds in my car but my tape playe rjust keeps pushin it out ...

hmmm I bet ts just not latching on....   it will usually as a sign of normal wear and tear does this especially when you have had the item for a while what I have done in the past is just put a little of tape on the edges to make it a little thicker
