  1. Normally this is cured by a re-boot.  If that doesn't help, go into Safe Mode, or some option that allows you to bring up the Task bar.  Then click the Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Restore System.  Choose a date when everything worked correctly.  That should do it.
