My tax return says show my social security income tax?

I don`t pay into social security and never have should`nt i leave it blank or 0.000 ?

  1. Judy is correct concerning federal tax.

    However, some states allow a deduction for Social Security (SS).

    So, to answer your question...if you didn't pay any  SS then you would leave that line blank.

    But, there are exceptions. Some states accept a railroad retirement plan as SS.

    Since I do not know where you live or why you are exempt from SS, this is the best answer I can provide.

  2. Where does it say that?  There's a line to put social security INCOME if you have any.  If you don't have any, leave it blank.
