My teacher is vegan and she introduced a great way to add protein to a smoothie?

adding tofu ....does it work? it tastes great and she says its a way healthier thing should i start doing this couse im just trying to double check....its a really cool thing to see how you can add this to something low on it

  1. Adding tofu to a protein smoothie is a great idea. Once it is blended well, you would never know that it contains tofu (as unseasoned tofu naturally has no taste).

    All of the fitness magazines I read promote the consumption of tofu - especially via the protein shakes that are made of fresh (or frozen) fruit and protein powder. They are omni-driven mags, too - so I think tofu is catching on!

  2. Your teacher has good intentions perhaps but since you are  apparently a minor, it is better to ask your parents first before you dive headlong into something like this..

    Your dietary concerns are you and your poarents business not your teachers if you are a minor... If your parents don't approve, your teacher can be reported for promoting a lifestyle.. It happened at my daughter's school where one teacher expressed approval of something similar and a parent complained.. the teacher was reprimanded and suspended...

    Tofu is great for you. I usually pan fry it up with some olive oil, soy sauce, and pepper.

    Trying it in something like a smoothie would be so different but I like the idea.

  7. yeah, you can't really taste the tofu in the smoothie, it just adds a little thicker texture.

    also, i add a little bit of flaxseed oil and i can't taste it either.
