  1. Writeing?

    Deseptive?

    Apperance?

    How about spell check?

  2. I hope your teacher said that you had to write using correct  English spelling, grammar and sentence construction.  What else can I use? A Spelling Check could be a start.

  3. Can you write a sentence that you want to use?  Maybe we could help you reword it to make it fit the assignment.

  4. For instance:

You can see that the characters are confused about who committed the murder, becomes:

The characters are confused by the murder.

In my opinion, I think that the book is full of suspense, becomes:

The book is full of suspense.

When you first start getting rid of the personal pronouns, it sounds "funny", but once you get in the habit, it's automatic.

Added:  Yeah, now that others have mentioned it, don't forget to complete the step of "proofreading" as you revise.  I'm quite sure that I don't even know what "deseptive apperance" about a "book" is, but  . . .as long as you know, the tips about  writing will work.  (And I've been around book reports since 1958)

  5. instead of

    what you can see....

    what can be seen....

    or

    from this we notice....

from this it can be noticed....

Major pain, and it is wordy but it does work, just use the 3rd person

  6. Your teacher wants you to use third person...he, she, they.  When you write using "you" or "we," that means you are involved in the viewpoint.  The purpose of a research paper is to synthesize the findings and viewpoints of others, not you.

  7. When one is in this situation, one uses the word "one" to get around using you or we.

  8. Your teacher wants you to write in third person. If you have to use yourself say... the author believes
