My teen son is not sure which car to buy a 97 cheve cavalier or 97 buick lesabre any advise?

The Buick is a more reliable car but since both cars are 12 years old, there are more potential problems with the Buick as it has more options and gadgets.

The cavalier gets better gas mileage, but the buick has a much nicer ride.

all teens like the chevy cavalier because its more sporty and beter looking and great on gas

The Buick is more car, but the Chevy is probably a bit more sporty?  He should get the Buick if everything else is equal, but he will probably want the Chevy.

the lesabre will out last, out run, out everythign the cavalier... except look 'cool'.  the cavaliers of those years were a break down waiting to happen.

The Buicks I've driven have been great on gas mileage. He may want the Cav but I'd recommend a Buick..dependable, fuel efficient, classic.
