My teeth by the gums are turning brown?? why??

im 14 my gums by the teeth on the lower from are turning brown why?

i dont smoke

or drink coffee

or chew tabaco

can it be gingivitis?

  1. It could be?  Try brushing your teeth 3-4 times a day for a week.  If it doesn't get better then you need to go to the dentist.  Good luck.  I hope your gums get better ( I don't think I've ever said that sentence before! ;-) ).

  3. The only other reason I could think of is calculus (hardened plaque) turns brown if it has not been brushed away for awhile. Some people get more calculus faster than others. All you can do is brush your teeth more than normal and go to your hygienist every 6 months. Your hygienist can tell you exactly why its turning brown
