  1. Providing that your existing antenna is up to digital standards you should get away with only needing to install an amplifier (booster) to rectify the problem.

    But be warned becuase amplifiers do one of two things.

    1.  It will amplify the weak signal to a db level that is required for a clear picture

    or

    2.  It will amplify any existing problems and actually make things worse.

    If you attempt it yourself , make sure you use a Kingray Amplifier as they are of a better quality with the ability to either wind the signal up or down.

    You would be better off getting out a TV Tech to do it for you so he can do an Electronic Survey to make sure you install the correct amplifier.

    Too much signal will cause you problems just as a weak signal does.
