I have heard of the no phone usage during a storm rule, but what happens to a television unit? I was watching television during a thunderstorm and the tv went out. I checked the breakers and that is not it. Did my television unit fry? Can that be repaired, or is my tv a goner?

  1. no clue what the first answer means, but if you had your tv connected to either cable or an antenna, it's very likely that the front end (tuner) got fried, and possibly took some of the power supply voltages with it when it went. It can always be repaired, it's just up to you to decide if it's worth it, once you get an estimate.

  2. In all TVs  there will be a built in high voltage circuit to take care saving the main TV, TV is not damaged. Ask the TV repairer can come  to rectify
