Question:

My ten week old foster kitten goes to his forever home today- will he miss his sisters?

I'm going to help acclimate him to his new home and his 16 year old cat friend this afternoon, but I'm sort of worried. I know I've found the right person to adopt him- she passed the application, references and home visit and she says that she'll send updates frequently and is making a baby book for him. But, he came into foster care with his two sisters, the same age. Will he miss them? Will they miss him?

I've been with them for about three or four weeks now. They are very close knit and I'm not sure how this will affect them.

Thank you!!!

  1. Hi there again...kittens are so resilient when they are separated from their litter mates.  At first, they will feel sad for approximately a few days, but as with nearly all animals they live "in the moment" and soon  forget their litter mates once they are settled and comfortable.

You have a kind heart to foster these kittens.  It's never easy to let them go as they feel your babies, however you are giving them a new chance to find a loving family for life.

    Thanks for helping!
