My tennis skills always differ every day?

hi everyone

i play tennis with my friend everyday and he is a very consistent player and on some days when i play tennis i play very well and i can beat him 6-2 6-1 but some days i cant even hit a decent forearem

is there a way to keep my tennis at a constant level because i my coach is'nt letting me in the higher teams because i am such a on and off player

You probably hit the ball very flatly, with a lot of pace.  When you're on, you'll beat a lot of people, but when you're off, you probably beat yourself.  You are probably going to have to develop more consistent strokes (with topspin).  OR you might want to consider changing racquets to something more control oriented (smaller head size), or string your racquet at a higher tension.  You could also try Gamma Ruff TNT2, which gives extra spin to your shots, and see if that helps you become more consistent.  Sometimes the slightest tweak you your equipment can make a huge difference to your game.
