My three year old has a runny nose...could he be?

Hey, I have a three year old boy ( he just turned three last month). He has a had a runny nose now bad for two days. I literally have to walk around with a napkin in hand all day cause it drips so bad. I called the doctor and the dr. said it's his allergies ( he has allergies and I knew this already) because he doesn't have any other 'cold' symptoms ex: cough, fever etc. Could he be getting a back tooth in that would cause this , cause he is drooling a lot but I don't know if that's because he can't breathe correct? I don't mean to sound ignorant, but this is my first child. He's with his grandma now while I am at work and I am nervous. I hate this ;-( I get nervous over e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g lol :D

It could be a lot of different things. Probably just a little cold or allergies. It could also be a food allergy or sensitivity developing. It's not a huge cause for concern now though - everyone gets runny noses sometimes, and 2 days isn't a big deal.

When my Niece was born and she turned 3months she had a runy nose for 2 weeks and it stopped. Doctor said it was just her synusis.

You have to let him live. You cant be over mothering to a child, it is not good for them. It sounds like its just alergies and you have nothing to worry about.

well when ur nose is running...do u have trouble breathing? case solved

This could be teething combined with allergies. It's that time of year when allergies get worse, but the drooling would definitely suggest teething.
